About

Hi, I’m Andrea. I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who helps people learn easy ways to live healthier lives.

I believe that healthful eating doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive or restrictive. I believe that all foods can fit in a balanced diet. I believe in eating food that is good for you, and also tastes good.

I live in central New York State with my amazing husband, daughter and son. In addition to helping my family eat a nutritious and delicious diet, I create resources to help other families and educators teach kids how to do the same. I’m a member of the OPEN Development Council and contribute to OPEN’s Early Childhood and Staff Wellness initiatives. I also work with college students, helping them make healthy choices through educational programs, counseling sessions, and working with dining services to ensure that they can find foods on campus which are both healthful and flavorful.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people of all ages in community programs including the WIC Program and Head Start. I’ve presented nutrition information to all kinds of groups, both big and small – including educators, childcare providers, foodservice workers, parents, and athletes.

I started this website because I want to help even more people become healthier. Here you can find information to help you make shifts toward healthier eating. You can also find resources to help teach nutrition to kids – whether they are in your home, your classroom, or your physical education program. I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you!
