About Andrea Hart, RDN, CDN

Hi, I’m Andrea. I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who helps people improve their relationship with food and with themselves.

I believe that healthful eating doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive or restrictive. I believe that all foods can fit in a balanced diet. I believe in eating food that is good for you, and also tastes good. I also believe that nutrition and other lifestyle habits directly influence one another. To achieve true well-being it’s important to look at physical activity, sleep, stress management and other self-care habits.

I live in central New York State with my amazing husband and son. I also have a grown daughter who is off launching her career! In addition to helping my family eat a nutritious and delicious diet and take care of all aspects of well-being, I create resources to help other families and educators teach kids how to do the same. I’m a member of the OPEN Development Team and contribute to OPEN’s Nutrition Education and Staff Wellness initiatives. I also provide nutrition coaching services to individuals who are trying to improve their relationship with food and their personal well-being.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with people of all ages in community programs including the WIC Program and Head Start. I’ve presented nutrition information to all kinds of groups, both big and small – including educators, childcare providers, college students, food service workers, parents, and athletes.

I started this website because I want to help even more people on their well-being journey. Here you can find information to help you make shifts toward a healthier relationship with food and personal well-being. You can also find resources to help teach nutrition to kids – whether they are in your home, your classroom, or your physical education program. I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you!
